“This tool is an efficient and effective way for applied health research teams to capture and share all their project data.
We are so confident in Switchstance’s technical skills and ability to interpret healthcare data that we have worked with them time and time again.”

The Problem.
The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CLAHRC is a collaboration between the University of Cambridge and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.
The CLAHRC had a problem tracking and evidencing their world class health research. Their data collation and reporting processes were inefficient and time-consuming.
There was a gap in the measurement of specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the subsequent creation of reports for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

There was a gap in the measurement of specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the subsequent creation of reports for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
The Outcome.
We developed a performance management application for the CLAHRC. The application uses Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as a base for health research, allowing researchers to evidence their work more efficiently. The adoption of the new system enables researchers to free up time to spend on their world class health research.
The application streamlines and maximises the efficiency of data collation and reporting, meaning valuable time can be focused on critical research and contributing towards better patient care.
The Process.
A Discovery was carried out with the CLAHRC to fully scope the project and define the desired solution and outcomes. User Research was undertaken, including workshops, interviews and surveys.
Using the output from this research, we analysed the findings, creating a robust user-centred design and delivery plan for the project.
Development of a performance management application followed, bringing consistency and accuracy of key information, enabling timely reporting to the NIHR.
