Children’s Media Conference.
Systems recommendations to help CMC to function effectively, offer a great customer experience and enable their growth as a company.
The Problem.
The Children’s Media Conference (CMC) is the only gathering in the UK for everyone involved in developing, producing and distributing content to kids – on all platforms.
The CMC’s existing systems for managing bookings and payments were causing them major problems, in terms of compatibility and functionality. This was having a knock-on effect on their customer service and customer satisfaction.
These issues were also costing the business money, as time and effort was being spent trying to solve problems rather than making sales.
The Outcome.
Efficient systems were put in place for the CMC to function effectively, offer a great customer experience and enable their growth as a company.
With the investment in and adoption of excellent IT systems, the business was in a position to provide the highest quality of service and meet customer demand, thus improving the reputation of the company.
The Process.
We kicked off the project with a Discovery Workshop with key CMC stakeholders. This enabled us to understand the business and its needs, gathering their requirements in detail and defining user needs.
We then reviewed existing off-the-shelf solutions for conference/event management, in line with these requirements and needs.
Market research was also undertaken by speaking with similar conferences to understand what systems were widely used, and feedback gathered on their efficiency.
The data gathered throughout our research and review activities was then analysed and drilled down to a findings and recommendations report. The report provided an appraisal of each potential replacement solution, including the associated benefits and costs.
Following the sharing of this report, a detailed discussion on the identified top 3 recommendations took place between us and CMC stakeholders, and a preferred solution chosen, which we then supported the business in taking on board.
