Switchstance’s 2023 roundup!
What a year 2023 has been!
We can’t quite believe Christmas is less than 2 weeks away and another year is drawing to a close. There have been many highs for us this year but a few that stand out and that we’re really proud of are…
Our new website launch
We have been in pretty desperate need of updating our own, tired-looking, website, for quite some time. We realised we had fallen into the trap of helping other businesses to stand out online whilst neglecting our own online presence. We decided we couldn’t put it off any longer and dedicated some serious resource to design, content creation, development and finally the launch of our new website! We are so pleased with how it turned out and have had some lovely feedback on the new look.
We have also, very recently, launched this new blog. We’re looking forward to getting back into creating more engaging content in 2024!
Our partnerships and projects
This year we have been very proud to start a major new project providing Product Management services to the Department of Work and Pensions. Also of note, are the further phases of work we have delivered to existing partners, including SALT Labsystems with their amazing innovative Asphasia clinical app, and MyGeo, bringing new elements of Augment Reality (AR) to their social marketing rewards app.
An additional highlight was seeing our lovely client, child behaviour psychology business Unravel, expand and open a premises. Seeing the branding that we developed for them ‘up in lights’ was quite something.
Awards shortlist
For the second year in a row, we were shortlisted for Medilink’s ‘Partnership with Academia’ Award!
Whilst we didn’t win the award, we were still so proud that our work with Qatar University and The University of Sheffield academic research team was recognised and shortlisted for the healthcare award.
Movember - Move for Mental Health
Globally, on average 1 man dies by suicide every minute. This alarming statistic drove us to stand up and move for men’s mental health. We committed to moving 60KM each to represent the 60 men who are shockingly lost to suicide every 60 minutes worldwide.
We’re so proud to have raised £305 and covered 636.7KM as a team (well over our initial 300KM target!).
Newest Switchstance addition!
This year saw the cutest addition we’ve had to the team… Nora!
She’s got some pretty important duties including; chewing everything, sleeping on people’s feet and barking really loudly to warn of dangers such as the postman and window cleaners…
Next Year's plans...
Our focus for 2024 is to create new collaborative partnerships, whilst nurturing existing ones. As always our mission will be to solve problems and achieve positive user-focused outcomes for our clients, through digital.
